Henry Lin, Ph.D.
Dr. Henry Lin is a co-founder and CEO of ANIVIA Medical. With a background in innovative medical technology, he brings extensive knowledge and expertise to the company. He has successfully executed multiple first-in-human clinical studies globally, showcasing his ability to effectively bridge the gap between technical and medical teams. Throughout his career, Dr. Lin has demonstrated a proven track record of securing multi-million-dollar investments from reputable institutional investors. He holds a Ph.D. in Medicine from the University of Queensland, Australia and a Master’s degree in Biotechnology. In addition, he has completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School and holds an A.L.M. in Management from Harvard University, where he was honored with a distinguished academic achievement award.
John Gilbert, Ph.D.
Dr. John Gilbert is a co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of ANIVIA Medical, where he also serves on the Board of Directors. With over 50 issued U.S. patents and extensive experience as both a founding CEO and CTO, Dr. Gilbert is a specialist in start-up operations, technology assessment, regulation, IP creation, and business model development in the medical technology industry. He played a pivotal role in inventing ANIVIA Medical‘s extracorporeal platform technology and establishing the company’s intellectual property portfolio. Dr. Gilbert holds an A.B. and M.A. from Harvard University, a Ph.D. in physics from the California Institute of Technology, and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Leroy Yau
Leroy is an experienced executive and senior advisor with over 25 years in consulting, special situations, and venture building. A former Partner at EY in Hong Kong and Taiwan, he has led operational restructurings, cross-border mergers, and impact investments across global markets. His expertise spans corporate governance, enterprise risk management, and strategic innovation, guiding organizations through growth and transformation.
John Sasso
Seasoned medtech leader with 25+ years of experience, including roles at Haemonetics, Radi Medical (now Abbott), and MITRE. Expertise in operations, commercialization, and regulatory affairs, with a proven track record in strategy and execution.
Heather Keith
Seasoned commercial leader with 15+ years in sales, marketing, and operations, driving revenue growth and product launches across medtech and life sciences. Held leadership roles at Battelle, TEI BioSciences, and neuroClues, with expertise in sales strategy, team management, IP licensing, and go-to-market execution.
Thomas Shannon
Global marketing and business development executive with 30+ years in cardiovascular and cardiopulmonary sectors. Led commercialization, brand strategy, and product launches at Medtronic, Getinge, and Fresenius Medical Care. Former clinical perfusionist with expertise in ECLS, ECMO, and disruptive medtech commercialization.
Julia Yuan
Regulatory and clinical expert with 25+ years in the pharmaceutical and medtech industries. Led clinical operations and regulatory strategy at IQVIA, Boston Scientific, and AstraZeneca. Deep expertise in clinical trials, quality systems, and global regulatory pathways, with a strong focus on bringing innovative medical technologies to market.

John Gilbert, Ph.D.

Lim Cheung, Ph.D.
Dr. Lim Cheung has 20+ years’ experience in medical device development in radiology and minimally invasive surgeries. He oversaw every stage from concept, R&D, engineering, manufacturing, quality, regulatory affairs, clinical trials to business operations at both large multinationals and small ventures. In previous roles as head of R&D, patent inventor, and chief designer at Hologic and Smith & Nephew in Boston, Dr. Cheung led teams that developed products generating billions of dollars in cumulative revenue and profit. He has a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the California Institute of Technology and a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Maryland. He held research positions at NASA and Harvard University.
John Sasso
John is a skilled professional responsible for day-to-day project management of product development, manufacturing operations, and quality activities, as well as serving as the Management Representative and Person Responsible for Regulatory Compliance (PRRC). With previous experience at Radi Medical Systems, Haemonetics, Neoventa Medical, Strohl Medical Technologies, and Q-Urology, John has a successful track record of integrating project management methodologies and commercializing medical devices from both domestic and foreign manufacturers. John is also experienced in international business and has brought two foreign medical device companies into the United States, one of which grew to $28M in annual revenues. John received his B.S.E.E. and M.S.E.E. from Tufts University and his M.B.A from Bentley College, graduating as the Class Valedictorian.

Experienced medtech engineering leader with 15+ years in product development, manufacturing transfer, and commercialization. Led strategic initiatives at Cook Medical, driving new product development, supplier qualification, and global regulatory compliance. Expertise in R&D, quality systems, and scaling manufacturing operations.

Dr. Kevin N. Sheth, MD
Professor of Neurology and Neurosurgery, Yale School of Medicine
Founding Director, Yale Center for Brain & Mind Health
Dr. Kevin Sheth is an internationally recognized leader in acute neurological injury, stroke, and neurocritical care research. His work focuses on cerebral edema, intracerebral hemorrhage, and secondary injury, aiming to improve neurological outcomes for patients with severe brain injury. He has served as principal investigator in multiple NIH-funded multicenter clinical trials and has led major studies on brain swelling and acute stroke management. His extensive body of work has contributed to the evidence base that informs national stroke treatment guidelines, including analyses within the American Heart Association’s Get With The Guidelines–Stroke program and investigations into thrombolysis and thrombectomy outcomes. Dr. Sheth’s leadership in clinical trial design, critical care innovation, and translational neuroscience continues to advance the field of stroke and brain injury management worldwide.
Dr. Dayu Teng, Ph.D.

Dr. Dayu Teng is an accomplished translational researcher with expertise in vascular biology, device safety, and ischemic injury. His work focuses on understanding endothelial responses and vascular trauma during mechanical thrombectomy and other endovascular procedures, with the goal of improving procedural safety and clinical outcomes in stroke care. He has developed validated in vitro and large-animal platforms for studying vascular response to intervention and has published widely on thrombectomy-related endothelial injury and therapeutic hypothermia. Dr. Teng’s research and technical leadership continue to shape the development of safer, next-generation neurovascular and critical care technologies.
